In mid 2005, The Southwest Missouri Development Alliance contracted with The Docking Institute of Public Affairs at Ft. Hays State University to conduct a Labor Availability Analysis for the Southwest Missouri Region and for 4 specific “Labor Basins” within Southwest Missouri: Joplin, Neosho, Lamar, & Mt. Vernon.
